The 2024 Pokémon World Championships Fantasy Team Contest
Pick your Pokémon and root for them throughout the three-day competition in Honolulu.
Get into the 2024 Pokémon World Championships hype by joining the Fantasy Team Contest, a fun contest where you predict which Pokémon will reign supreme. Test your knowledge of competitive Pokémon play by building teams for either the Pokémon Trading Card Game or the Pokémon video games—or both if you’re vying for some extra bragging rights—and see how your selections stack up when the best Trainers in the world do battle in Honolulu. You may even be eligible to win some amazing prizes based on your Pokémon team's overall performance!
The top 100 finishers in both the Pokémon TCG and Pokémon VGC categories will be awarded with a shockingly cool Pikachu promo card celebrating Worlds in Honolulu, as well as a Booster Display Box (that’s 36 booster packs!) of the upcoming Pokémon TCG expansion Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown. The top finisher in each category whose Pokémon really went on a hot streak will receive an especially amazing award—a jumbo-size Arcanine plush!
You have until August 16, 2024, at 3:00 a.m. PDT to create or make changes to your teams. Once you’ve created your teams, be sure to check out the Pokémon TCG stream and Pokémon VGC stream to cheer for your chosen Pokémon. Your Fantasy Team will earn points based on how often your Pokémon appear in the Top 8 of their respective categories as well as how high they place, so you won’t want to miss any of the World Championships action.
This contest is open to legal residents currently residing in any of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old or the age of majority—whichever is older as of the date of entry—and to residents of Canada who are 19 years old or older as of the date of entry. It’s free to enter; all you need is a Pokémon Trainer Club account to join the fun.
