2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships Competitor Information
The Pokémon UNITE Championship Series Grand Finals will take place at the 2024 Pokémon World Championships. This event is the conclusion to the 2024 Pokémon UNITE Championship Series circuit.
Registration for Pokémon UNITE competitors is done by invitation only through our tournament organizer partners.
All competitors will begin play on Friday, August 16, after the opening ceremonies at approximately 9:45 a.m. local time. Players must be in the Pokémon UNITE play area and ready to follow the instructions of tournament officials. Players who are not in the tournament area may receive a match loss.
Players must comply with the Tournament Rules and event policies.
2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships Qualifications
Teams can earn an invite to the 2024 Pokémon UNITE World Championships by winning a Regional Finals event, winning the Aeos Cup at EUIC, winning the Final Stretch at NAIC, or by being a top Championship Point earner in their Regional Zone. Championship Point qualifications will be based on the cumulative Championship Points earned by all five players.

Tournament Format and Structure
Teams will compete on Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17, using the 5-on-5 draft pick format on the Theia Sky Ruins map in Pokémon UNITE.
Teams will be divided into 8 groups during the Group Stage. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Single-Elimination Bracket Stage. All matches are best-of-three except the Grand Finals, which is best-of-five.
What to Bring
When you show up at a Pokémon UNITE tournament, there are some things you must have with you:
- Pokémon UNITE downloaded for either a Nintendo Switch system or a tournament-legal mobile device with the latest game updates installed.
- A fully charged Nintendo Switch system with a working USB-C port and the latest system updates installed OR a tournament-legal mobile device for competition, to be approved by tournament administration (see the Tournament Rules and check back regularly before the event for updated rules).
- A charger; it is the competitor’s responsibility that their device remains operational throughout the tournament.
- Proof of age may be requested, and failure to provide proof of age may result in the competitor being denied participation in the tournament (at the organizer’s discretion).
- Tournament organizers will inform competitors of additional requirements ahead of the event, includingstipulations for being filmed on Thursday, August 15.
Check-In and Badge Pickup
Badges for this event can be picked up on-site at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in the Coral Ballroom. All attendees are highly encouraged to pick up their badges on Thursday, August 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
